A Safer, More Efficient Hemodialysis Product with Cost-Saving Production Advantages
Dialyzers are essential components of dialysis machines, used in the treatment of patients with kidney failure. They are classified as single-use medical consumables.
The core element of a dialyzer is the dialysis membrane, which filters the blood. These membranes may be made from cellulosic, surface-treated semi-cellulosic, or synthetic materials. Unwanted substances are removed from the blood by diffusing through microscopic pores in the semi-permeable membrane into the dialysis solution. The pore size is carefully designed to prevent the passage of essential proteins and blood cells.
Because the volume of blood filtered varies based on the patient’s height and weight, dialyzers are manufactured in different sizes. The size refers to the surface area where blood and dialysis solution interact, typically measured in square meters. Commonly used dialyzers feature surface areas of 1.0 1.3 m², 1.6 m², 1.8 m², and 2.0 m².
Clinical Advantages
• Solvent-free manufacturing
• High test reliability
• Oil-free air drying process
• Precision cutting systems
• Hydrodynamic housing design
• Cost-effective performance
• Use of clinically proven membrane materials
High-Selectivity Membranes for Dialysis, Hemofiltration, and Beyond
This product is designed to develop and manufacture hollow fiber membranes for use in dialysis, hemofiltration, plasma separation, fractionation, and virus inactivation applications.
The technique involves coating a solid-core fiber with a dope solution. As the solvent evaporates under thermal influence, a multi-layered, composite, porous structure is formed with consistent diameter and wall thickness. The solid core is then removed during production, yielding the final membrane.
Unlike conventional methods that use liquid cores, our project is based on solid-core spinning. This approach improves membrane filtration quality, reduces production costs, enhances reliability, and ensures uniformity in membrane diameter and layer thickness.
The membrane is produced using a combination of diffusion-induced phase inversion spinning and thermally assisted evaporative phase-separation techniques, resulting in a high-performance synthetic composite.
This method allows for surface treatment optimization, improving membrane permeability and overall quality. It also addresses common production challenges such as fiber breakage and dimensional inconsistencies during spinning.
Compared to liquid-core membranes, the proposed method yields membranes with more homogeneous diameter, wall thickness, and layer distribution. Additionally, it enables the production of thinner-walled membranes with narrower diameters—enhancing clinical performance and patient comfort.
A spiderweb-like polymeric structure is formed between the fibers to prevent collapse and adhesion, maintaining inter-fiber spacing and allowing efficient retentate flow. This structural enhancement increases the membrane’s surface area and improves filtration efficiency between the retentate and permeate compartments.
Clinical Advantages
• Produces high-quality membranes with homogeneous pore distribution
• Enhanced internal structure improves filtration performance and retentate flow
• Adaptable to advanced applications such as plasmapheresis and blood separation
A Smart, Modular System for On-Site, Patient-Specific Dialysate Preparation
The Dry Dialysate System is designed to replace liquid concentrates with a more cost-effective and clinically superior alternative. By improving the quality of dialysis treatments, the system contributes to better patient outcomes and enhanced quality of life for individuals with kidney failure. High-quality dialysis reduces the need for hematopoietic drugs and lowers hospitalization rates—ultimately decreasing overall treatment costs.
Developed by our company, the system consists of specialized equipment and consumables that enable the production of dialysate solutions with varying compositions directly within dialysis centers. Its primary goal is to deliver a dialysate solution that reduces treatment costs while enhancing medical quality. Cost savings are achieved through reduced packaging, transportation, and storage requirements. Quality improvements stem from the closed-system handling, which ensures freshness, homogeneity, and protection against contamination.
A key feature of the system is its ability to produce acidic dialysate solutions with customized compositions based on clinical parameters. Concentrated solutions containing potassium, calcium, and magnesium chloride are fed into each dialysis machine via a peristaltic pump. With three channels, the pump allows simultaneous delivery of three different solutions—making it compatible with any existing acidic dialysate specification on the market.
The Dry Dialysate System is a proprietary innovation developed by A3 Medizintechnik. The patent process is currently underway, and there is no equivalent product available in the market.

A Simplified, Patient-Friendly Vascular Access Solution for Hemodialysis
In conventional hemodialysis, two separate needles are required for arterial and venous access during each session. This approach causes significant discomfort for patients and contributes to vascular trauma and related medical complications.
The Single-Needle Dialysis Catheter introduces a dual-lumen needle and catheter system that enables both arterial and venous access through a single insertion point. This innovation enhances treatment quality, reduces patient pain, and minimizes vascular wear and associated risks.
The functional design of the needle was developed to address real-world challenges faced in dialysis clinics. During the design process, input from dialysis nurses, technicians, and patients was incorporated to optimize the needle’s physical characteristics and usability.
This product is a proprietary development by our company and currently has no equivalent in the market. The patent application is underway.
Clinical Advantages
• Enhances dialysis quality and reduces patient discomfort
• Streamlines nurse workflow and lowers clinical risk
• Enables the same facility to manufacture other specialized needles, including amniocentesis, lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration, and biopsy needles
A Breakthrough in Needle Manufacturing with Enhanced Comfort, Efficiency, and Cost Control
This product introduces an innovative manufacturing technique for hypodermic needles and cannulas, replacing traditional drawn steel tube methods with a coating-based process that integrates the needle hub and cannula into a single production step.
Medical applications for needle-based devices include syringes, insulin injectors, IV catheters, hormone delivery needles, local anesthesia needles, subcutaneous and intramuscular needles, blood collection needles, intrathecal and bone marrow needles, amniocentesis, epidural needles, and more.
The proposed method enables the production of needles with ultra-thin walls, smooth internal and external surfaces, and significantly lower manufacturing costs. The needle hub—normally produced separately—is formed simultaneously with the cannula, streamlining production and improving structural integrity.
Thinner needle walls result in wider internal diameters (orifices), which improve flow efficiency. Clinically, this allows for the use of narrower gauge needles, reducing patient discomfort during procedures.
Because the coating thickness can be precisely controlled, the cannula wall thickness can be optimized for performance. The process also ensures exceptionally smooth surfaces inside and out. Additionally, since both the needle and hub are made entirely of steel, the product is fully recyclable—helping reduce medical waste.
Clinical Advantages
• Enables production of ultra-thin-wall cannulas—a high-value product segment
• Exceptionally smooth surface finish
• Minimal dead space for improved fluid dynamics
• Fully recyclable design reduces medical waste
